About the Journal

“Tanqeedat” Journal of Religious and Policy Studies” is a biannual multi-linguistic research journal, representative of Meezan Research & Policy Studies Institute, Sahiwal. The journal seeks to develop research methodologies in various fields of Religious & Policy learning, to identify and study contemporary issues and interpret religious teachings. One of the main themes of the journal is theoretical, methodological, and empirical advances in the study of public policy and governance in relation to religion that have consequences of broad, international significance. To enable cutting-edge research to be connected to the real-world policy problems of religion and religious communities and vice versa. The journal will identify ‘what works in improving the formation and delivery of policy through rigorous research in the creation of harmony among different communities of today`s global world. To trace new developments affecting the public policy and governance for the region, religion, and religious communities.

The journal takes a pluralistic approach and encourages submissions irrespective of the methodological approach and the country of study. Although the journal is traditionally based on social sciences & humanities, a multi-disciplinary approach to the study of public policy is encouraged. Articles published are predominantly original research articles, but review articles that assess the state of the field are also welcome. So that these teachings assist not only Pakistani society but the whole of humanity, to live according to the imperatives of beliefs. “Tanqeedat” is promoting moderate and reasonable criticism of the academic work being done in the institutes and academic world to strengthen Research & Educational works. The journal is playing its role in the improvement of the integration of research and enhancing the multidisciplinary research initiative. “Tanqeedat” will be a fine addition to scholarly journals in Pakistan and will provide standardized research publications to scholars, policymakers, and the public as well. The struggle will continue to strengthen the research quality to reach higher international research standards. Insha ALLAH.
